    Global demand for rubber will continue to grow slightly in 2017, according to the IRSG.

    Global natural rubber consumption reached 12.5m tonnes in 2016, with a growth rate of 3 per cent, and global natural rubber consumption is projected to be 12.87 million tonnes in 2017, with a growth rate of about 2.9 percent.

    Global synthetic rubber consumption reached 146.28 million tons in 2016, with a growth rate of about 0.5%. Global synthetic rubber consumption is projected to be 15.177,000 tonnes in 2017, with a growth rate of about 3.8%

    The global production of natural rubber in 2016 is about 12.295m tonnes, with a growth rate of about 0.2 per cent and is expected to produce about 13 million tonnes of natural rubber in 2017, with a growth rate of about 5.7 per cent.

    Global production of synthetic rubber in 2016 about 14.563 million tons, the growth rate of about 0.6%, is expected in 2017 global synthetic rubber production is about 14.957 million tons, the growth rate of about 2.7%.
