The air filter is installed in the front of carburetor or intake pipe to filter out dust and sand particles in the air to ensure sufficient and clean air entering the cylinder.

The automobile engine is a very precise part, the tiny impurity will damage the engine. Therefore, before entering the cylinder, the air must pass through the fine filtration of the air filter before entering the cylinder. The air filter is the patron saint of the engine. The condition of the air filter is related to the service life of the engine.

If the dirty air filter is used in the driving of the car, the air intake of the engine will be insufficient, and the fuel combustion will not be complete, which will lead to the instability of the engine, the decrease of power and the increase of fuel consumption. Therefore, the car must keep the air filter clean.

Installation method

First of all, open the engine compartment cover and determine the position of the air filter. The air filter is generally located in the engine compartment. One end is connected with the air inlet pipe and the other end is connected with the engine. You can see a square plastic black box in which the air filter element is installed.

Generally, the plastic box with air filter is fixed by a clip, and the whole upper cover of the air filter can be lifted by gently pulling two metal clips upward. There will also be individual models using screws to fix the air filter. At this time, it is necessary to select a suitable screwdriver to screw off the screws on the air cleaner box. Then you can see the air filter inside and take out the air filter by hand. Take out the air filter element. Before installing the new air filter, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the dust at the bottom of the air filter box. After the air filter box is cleaned, install the new air filter. After the air filter box is installed firmly, fasten the cover of the air filter box and install the clip as it is to ensure that the installed air filter box is tightly sealed. After installation, try the engine and lower the engine cover after confirming that the installation is normal.
